Glover's Butter Pie

The Glover’s Butter Pie is served in a branded wrapper by a young girl who really is as nice as pie. The top crust is scored several times on top making it look like a Chinese symbol but it is solid overall and has a wonderful clean, fresh smell about it. Upon cutting in half, I'm greeted by a spectacular mound of potatoes, accompanied by an almost sickly, yellow buttery mixture binding it together. The butter bit can sound a bit off putting but the constituent ingredients are potato and onion, the butter just adds some mouth-watering moistness to proceedings. There are glorious swathes of lush, fresh potatoes in a delicate herby sauce in this pie. It is a weighty size but then spuds are cheaper than meat generally!
