The Crusty Cob
Situated near to the Etihad but also close to Newton Heath, these pies are equally as suitable for an Arab sheikh or a humble railway worker. A wonderful oval shaped shortcrust case gives way to a mysterious and opulent gravy swimming in steak, and gravy soaked fresh potatoes. More importantly, it's piping hot with more steam coming off it than an irate Popeye. UPDATE: 2018. SADLY, THE CRUSTY COB IS NO LONGER TRADING
