This is a top notch effort. It is very rich and sticky glazed pastry, a touch flaky in parts but of high quality. Biting into it and tugging on the crust causes a tremor which makes the filling spill out but this is managed by sucking bits of the gravy out at regular intervals, to ensure it doesn’t land in your lap. Find the leak. Control the leak. Minimise spillage. I could be an oil rig safety officer me. The filling consists of delightful centimetre square chunks of potato with lashings of mince and gravy. The flavour is opulent and peppery and comes seeping out of the pie and hits you right between the chops
