Beanos have got a great selection of pies although not all are in stock. The list includes chicken curry, chilli beef, sausage and onion (isn’t this just pork?) and a Beano pie, containing er beans basically. I fancy either of these seeing as they seem to be a regional delicacy but they’ve both sold out seeing as it’s now nearly 2 o’clock after it took us longer to park than it takes Pluto to orbit the sun. So I’m stuck with a steak. it is nevertheless highly pleasing to see that pies have a home in the Bohemian area of North Laine, Brighton. The pastry is smooth, soft and adorned with a pastry heart on top and served very warm considering the time. Inside it is mahogany coloured gravy, smothering luscious steak chunks.
