The whole package is very light, even when in the box but the crust is remarkably thorough, given its weight and follows the traditional round Scottish shape. It is scorching hot after a mere 15 minutes in the oven, giving off enough heat to warm a Highlands village in winter. It is not the deepest but packed full of quality braised steak and swimming, nay drowning in gravy. If the first half sees the Killie pie race into a devastating two goal lead courtesy of its prime beef and sumptuous gravy, the second half sees a further devastating two goal salvo as I bite into a huge chunk of steak and wave after wave of gravy keeps coming in flavour filled attacks in a tremendous gastronomic treat
