It’s a little flaky yet it pulls off, as the base is splendidly dark and tasty, in that sweet semi-burnt kind of way. The pastry seduces me whilst it’s heating in the oven. It looks exactly like it does on the website and again there is no veg in it, no potato or carrot just a barely detectable hint of onion and the integral ingredient of plump, moist beef
