The combination of shortcrust and suet pastry is beyond perfect. The top crust resembles a crown and this is certainly a pie fit for a king. The craftsmanship exhibited in creating this crust belongs in a pie museum. The contents come tumbling out of the pie which has considerable depth to it. My own fears are confirmed when I find it contains large swathes of mushrooms however this is more than offset by the presence of delightful slithers of bacon, onion and top quality chunks of beef
