My memory may deceive me but the Pimmies seems a lot shallower than I recall albeit more compressed at the top crust. It’s a fusion of taste – sweet and fruity in parts and peppery in others with a lovely smelling pastry. It seems there’s lots of subtle changes here: full marks for keeping the flag waving but not necessarily for the better. I think if I was to have just one desert island pie from St Helens it’d be a Greenalls.
