This should really be called a hot pot, as it is an oblong tray based effort but nevertheless a most satisfying scoff. Lovely pastry aroma but metal on metal when eating with a knife and fork doesn’t go down well with me, as I have more fillings than that Jaws bloke out of James Bond. Ouch! Deep and meaty with lashings of gravy and insanely fresh tasting potatoes. It is not too strongly seasoned and a rustic natural flavour to it, only let down by a slightly metallic taste, brought on by the lack of surrounding crust
