A golden brown puff pastry top, containing several layers, with a stronger base means this is best eaten upside down or using the crust as a handle as the flakes tend to stick to the fingers. There is a reasonable smattering of steak with gravy and cheesy sauce, with borderline excessively chewy meat in parts, maybe they slip a bit of calf’s brain in there as is the Wiltshire way. The stilton infusion wins me over no end. It’s not overdone to the point of being overpowering but it lets you know it’s there
