Purchased from Selfridges Food Hall no less, this is a lamb, chickpea and chorizo pie from Tom’s Pies of Devon. It possesses a perilously daintily thin shortcrust, almost Scotch pie like. The chickpeas grate a little when biting into them like uncooked beans, but there is a great mix in here, with plenty of minced lamb and sliced chorizo along with a few other little extras I can’t quite place. It is dashingly different. Although the chorizo isn’t too prominent, the lamb is captivatingly succulent with good diameter and depth to it
