I bought this Toppings Pork pie from Booths, wrapped in cellophane and given the Booths official stamp. The pastry is darker than a late night French movie yet marshmellow soft and the filling consists of smooth, delightfully soft sausage meat encased in lush jelly which remains intact throughout. I often have concerns if the jelly is not dissolved enough a pork pie can feel a bit dry but this is juicier than a bucket of Opal fruits and bursting with flavour. I don’t feel a shred of guilt polishing it off while my daughter sits there watching Peppa Pig. A prestige product with golden hot water pastry and jelly atop.
