A dark, decorative and durable top crust which holds together with perfect portability. I’ll concede I’m not the biggest fan of the tough, rough filling but there is certainly plenty to gnaw at as it’s topped to the brim with meat and jelly. Raw, genuine meaty flavours prevail in every bite; a pie made the natural way. It’s a beast of a pie, best eaten by turning it on its side as you won’t be able to get your gob around it otherwise. I start to get lockjaw 15 minutes in and I’ve still only eaten half of it
