Weegmann’s Pork Pie is sumptuously well crafted. The sausage meat is so rich it should be sailing around the Mediterranean in its own yacht. The kind of pork texture that when you bite into it your teeth bounce off the filling. The pastry is golden, shiny and sticky which flirts with the gums like a common limpet. When I cut it in half, I’ve never seen as much packed into such a tight area. It is the Tokyo rush hour of the pork content world. The beautiful pink pork meat is gasping for air but it restrained by a casing of lush silvery green jelly holding it hostage both inside and out.
