The pastry is dark golden brown and shiny and crispy and the pie is served warm-ish. It detaches itself from the crust after the first bite but it’s of generous capacity. It is a bit of a messy job but the sausage meat is fine, juicy and tender and the jelly luscious and it’s shape is high centred and heavy and it is priced reasonably.
